I’m currently working with an intern from the States and we were chatting away about pretty much nonsense, but it turns out that his grand mother has traced his family tree back to the 1640s. He originates from a small village called Mowsley in Leicestershire (Licestershire as he pronounced it). It’s a couple of miles outside Market Harborough. No more than 12 miles from Corby.
