In the Moet cellars

16km of caves in this one. Apparently 200 million bottles of champagne! Crazy.

Our lovely bath in our first gite near Noyant

I think April spent 95% of our first week in there.

And then an older one

A new house

We popped into a new champagne house for a tasting

Castellane

Another visit to the cellars, there were over 6 km of tunnels under this wine house. We climbed the tower too.

Moet

At the front of Moet on Rue de Champagne. All of the main champagne houses are on this street.

Eperney flat

Cool flat in Epernay

More photos of the Gite

A lovely place

Carpet

More pictures of carpet. He really took a shine to me. It might have something to do with the quantity of ham I gave him...

Chateaux visit

Here we are at a stately home which the French insist on calling a castle. This one has it's own kennels for the hunt.

A tip to Tours

A fairly big town in France

Another cat

This time in its hollowed out tree stump.

First wine cave

Here's some pictures of the first 'cave' we went to. It's basically the cellars where they store all their wine. This one was in the mine where the stone for the castle was taken. The sheer scale of the place and how many bottles was huge. This was a relatively small winery and they had millions of bottles down there.
