Glad I wasn't playing yesterday

Just found out my rugby team got thumped 74 points to nil yesterday.  Jeez!  That wouldn't have been fun, I reckon if i'd have played things would have been different though.  Maybe 73 points to nil.

We have a winner

Just been round a friend's house for a charity MacMillan cake and coffee morning.  £20 for 3 pieces of cake is a bit steep but I guess it went to a good cause, and I did win a glass jar full of sweets for the closest guess as to how many were in there.  I was last in so chose the lowest,  one less than a friend.  He, he, sucker.

It's actually the second time i've won one of these things.  22 years ago I won another bottle sweets at Kingwood school.  Maybe I should have been a quantity surveyor.

What to do???

With April gone, what shall I do? Breaking Bad first, then possibly a smidgen of The Hobbit.

Home alone tonight

April's away canal boating this weekend. Heading in straight from work tonight then straight back into work on Monday morning.

I'll see her on Monday night then she's on a course till Friday night where she's out on a girls night out. I won't really see her till Saturday morning!

I've just had to call up a cat grooming service for Biscuit. She's not looking after her fur as she once did so could do with a sprucing up.

Only problem is they can't fit her in till mid November!

I might have to give her a bath... Wish me luck!

April's gig last week

We had to travel all the way to Ealing Broadway last week for this gig. Plus carry April's new 10 kg 'portable' amp.

Just my finger again yesterday. Ouch. Luckily it's a different knuckle.

The Wi-Fi is playing up on my phone. Going to have to send it back to the insurer again.

Netflix trial

We're currently giving Netflix a trial.

So far pretty good. So far I've watched some Louis Theroux, Black Books, Breaking Bad and the Hobbit.

Whatever next

Driving back  this morning from a bit of food shopping I saw a girl talking her ferret for a walk.

Very strange.

Second game

I had my second game of the new season against Vigo 1sts on Saturday and surprisingly don't feel that bad this morning.  I may even make it to the gym tomorrow.

Unfortunately we lost about 30-10.

Jail time

Poppet had her last of a course of injections for her arthritis this morning. She wasn't happy.

11 year anniversary

Today is my eleventh year in the city. Roughly speaking, four and a half years at Lloyd's of London, eighteen months at AJ Gallagher followed by nearly five here. It's absolutely flown by.  Shame today isn't... zzz ...
