Winner!

We hadn't been to our old local in ages so popped in for a couple on Saturday night.

One of the regulars that we talk to had a word with me when I was ordering another beer at the bar.

"Here's £10"
"What's that for?"
"The bet"
"What bet?"
"Dave hadn't died so I owe you"

Basically we had a bet about 6 months ago that one of the other regulars would die before the new year. He didn't, so I gained £10!
