Burnt hand

Big thanks to the dickhead at the pumpkin cafe (platform 2) at Tonbridge Station this morning.  He didn't put the lid on the cup of tea i'd ordered so when I picked it up the lid flipped off and near boiling water went all over my hand.

If anything, i'm surprised with my ability not to swear whilst enduring extreme pain.

I will punish them with 1 weeks abstinence.

I didn't think it'd work

https://youtu.be/g63xC_wTFb4

Downloaded an app for the cats on Saturday. I didn't think it'd work. Not tried it on Poppet yet but Biscuit enjoyed it.

Delayed birthday present from friends

But worth the wait

First stroke

I stroked Saphie for the first time in my way home last night. She's a nice cat.

24 floors now

The building's still going up and up.

Tv's playing up again but the cats are fine

Really

It's September! Waiting for my train at London Bridge.  Is a wooly hat really needed?

The view from April's Dad's back garden

I wonder what they want.

And the fun begins

First rugby game of the season and I was picked for the 3rd team.  Played pretty well but not really fit enough. The boot to the face was a particular highlight.

No other injuries to speak of, just very stiff in 90% of my muscles. Ouch.

Spatchcocked my own birds yesterday

The recipe called for a poussin but all Waitrose had were quails. It turned out well in the end. Jerk Quail.

House photos

3 rooms down,  only another 5 or 6 to go.

Some cat photos

The usual of Poppet and Biscuit plus some additional ones of Charlie all the way from Australia.

All quite

I worked fairly late in the office last week (9pm), here's Lloyd's main underwriting floor completely empty.

More photos from the fair

There's no way that is an owl.

A good day for Dragon boating

Tonbridge dragon boating and medieval festival. Only £15 to get your fortune read. Bargain.

Some photos from last night's Swallows gig

It was a friend's surprise birthday yesterday so the Swallows played a gig. Good fun. Lovely people.

Nice surprise

We leant a friend our Sat nav for their holiday a while back and this is what we get back as a thank you. Now to think about something to do with them.

She loves her envelope

Cat update.  Biscuit still prefers her new envelope to regular seating.

14 years in London / City

I've been working in London for 14 years now (since last Saturday).  Wow!

I have to say it's flown by, but not sure if i'm able to do another 14.  It just doesn't really interest me any more.  I need to find something else to do as a career that also pays me a bundle of cash each month without having to work too hard too often.  It's either that or winning the lottery.

Which is more likely?

22 floors now

And growing day by day. I wonder when it'll stop.

Teaching computers swear words

I've been playing this game recently, Word Play. It's quite addictive, my favourite part is getting to teach the game swear words.

New shoes

I walked to work in my new shoes today.  Why do I do it to myself?

We can actually dress down at work now so I could in theory wear slippers.

The growler...

My new demijohn cleaner drill attachment. It's called the Growler!

Bought this at a farmers market

The lady at the stall made us put it in a bag. He, he.

Very dapper

Spotted this chap at Tonbridge Station last week. We get all sorts.

On the bus

It had been ages since the last time is been on a bus bit I had to get from London Bridge to Hackney Picturehouse on Friday night too see a screening of a documentary about Gary Numan.

I've seen Gary Numan twice before, once at Hyde Park and again at Tunbridge Wells Odeon to see The Dark Knight where he sat behind me munching on nachos.

Anyway, I digress...  Android in La La Land.  It was very good.  There were many similarities with the Osbourne family but it showed a loving family man that still has a drive to produce good music.

I think I might buy an album or two.

Who needs expensive cat beds?

I like sitting on bubble wrap envelopes.

Birthday lobster

I had a whole one for a change,  plus some lovely sparkling wine from Chapel Down, plus some steak to start, plus some cheese. Lovely.

April told the staff that it was my birthday so they offered me the chance to pick my own lobster of of the tank.  I chickened out.

Ill cat

Biscuit want feeling very well on Tuesday morning. Poor thing.  She didn't even meow outside our bedroom door at 6:30 demanding food.
She's better now.

My latest Google survey

A bit niche don't you think?

Caption competition

We went on a 'dodgy' Tonbridge pub crawl in Sunday.  This is where we ended up. The New Drum.
