Today i'm Fuggleling it

April's got Flo at a refugee thing then onto Havet for lunch with a couple of NCT girls (and babies), I was invited but for some reason thought i'd prefer sitting in Fuggles instead.

Lunching

Lunchtime yesterday, Flo on tow.

I thought i'd sneak a quick bite to eat int he Bakehouse yesterday whilst Florence was asleep in her pram.  As soon as I sat down to eat my sandwich Florence piped up so I had to play with her,  She's got great timing.

Lots of walking

So far this month I have stepped 326,844 steps, that's an average of over 12,000 per day.  When i'm looking after Flo full time turning the day I expect that to rise.  Before the redundancy I was probably only walking 8,000 per day.

Anyway, here are some swans...

Should I be allowed children???

We were talking about kitchen gadgets yesterday and then I remembered I had this.

Can you guess what it's supposed to be used for?

I'm off Facebook

I'm off Facebook, which means i'm off messenger too.  I've been thinking about it for quite a while now and I've now decided to leave.  I've gradually been whittling down my friend list.  At one point I had over 600 'friends', when I left I had 50 and I really wasn't using it in the end.

The final straw was all the recent stories in the news.  I may go back in the future but it's not something I want to be associated with at the moment.

You all know how to contact me if you need to.

Farewell party in Tonbridge

A few afternoon drinks with friends yesterday to say goodbye before we head off to Chicago.  Not long left.  5 more sleeps before we head off.

5 sets of friends and family are coming over for a visit whilst we're there so it'll be like a little Tonbridge whilst we're away.

Last week was a very sad week

Sadly we had to put both of our cats to sleep last week.

Biscuit hadn't been well for quite a while and in her last few days she got worse, it was a hard decision but the right one to send her to sleep.

Poppet was spending a lot of time on her own in her bed and not really eating, but because we were concentrating on Biscuit didn't really notice.  We took her to the vet to get checked out, but had some more sad news.  After a blood test we were told that she was very poorly indeed.  Her kidneys were failing so the vet said we should put her down.

This was 2 cats in too days.  Poor things.  They were great cats though and we both loved them very much.  We first got them nearly 10 years ago as elderly cats.  The were around 17 or 18 in the end.

What would you like to drink Florence?

Popped into Fuggles last week with April and Florence.  Florence was choosing gin.

This is easy

Popped into London yesterday to visit Shaheen and Eva

We went for lunch in Roast

Florence was good as gold.

Kingdom

We popped to Kingdom just outside Penshurst for lunch this today and it was an amazing space.  It's the clubhouse for mountain bike and yoga groups.  All wood and glass.

Maybe i'll see if I can have my 40th birthday there next year???

My life for the next 5 months

Preferably with a sleepy baby.

The youth of today

I think Florence for a walk around the park this afternoon and there where bit one but two groups of youths smoking pot. FFS. I don't mind them doing it, they just shouldn't really be doing it in public. The second group were huddled inside the public toilet so I couldn't use it.

Chicago in less than 2 weeks

We popped into London on Friday to get our US visas.  All good, they just need to send our passports back to us which should be at some point over the next couple of days.

All this means we're good to go Chicago on Saturday 31st March!  Not long at all.

We're very excited by it all but things are daunting too, we've got loads to pack but we're still using half of it (Florence's clothes etc.) so can't really pack anything.  If it was up to me we'd just rush it on the Friday before but pretty sure April won't allow that.

Park Life

Enjoying the park.

Since i've been off i've been averaging around 20,000 steps per day.  Mostly walking around and again the playing fields with Florence asleep.

Someone's s fan of the rugby

Supporting the wrong team though!

Pretty dull game really.

Some feeding times are more successful than others

A bit messy

Up the nose!

Pray for me

April's got a keeping in touch day at work today so I've been left at home holding the baby.

Wish me luck...

Saturday's Chicago party

Friends came round the house on Saturday night to see us off to Chicago.  Less than 3 weeks to go now.

Questing time

I met up with Kris and Ian for Questing Time on Sunday night.  It's basically just a bunch of comedians playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Excellent.

Snow!

It snowed pretty heavily in Kent a couple of weeks ago, so what did I do?  Go sledging!  Not bad for a 38 year old.

New toy

One of our friends gave us their baby bouncer.  Florence was more interested in watch me make a fool out of myself.

Some Daddy time

Florence has been getting a lot more daddy time recently.

April's birthday celebrations

It was April's birthday yesterday so my Dad and his wife Ann came down for a spot of baby sitting.  We ended up heading into London to see At the Drive at Brixton Academy, but before wthat we had a spot to eat at Meatliqueur where we had the biggest ever onions rings (amoungst other things).

Some Clark news

It's been quite a while since my last blog post, i've had my mind on other things.

Basically i've been off work since the 23rd as I was made redundant.

Don't worry, i'm extremely happy about it.  I just couldn't really say much until an agreement has been signed.  I now just have to fill out the paper work.

Message me if you'd like to hear more, but I reiterate that i'm very happy about the situation.
