My first game of the season went well. We beat Leigh 0-62. I'm pretty sore now, most of my muscles are aching, I think I have mild whiplash, a bit of a dead leg, two big blisters and my nose got smashed by my own player. But, I survived.
Roll on next week, Sevenoaks away!

Blood
I gave blood for the 48th time this morning. This time next year it should be my 50th! I missed out on a good year of donations due to living in Chicago and looking after Florence last year so my brother has now taken the lead. Git! He is 2 years older than me though so I think it'll still count as me beating him
Just ordered a new pair of rugby boots
Will it be my last?
Every year I do this and I still keep plodding on. Let's hope the Canterbury Stampede 2 add some speed to this old man.
First game is in 4 days.

Tonbridge Angels match
A few of the Tonbridge boys went to see Tonbridge Angels play on Saturday. The hardcore watched the Liverpool vs Newcastle game before too.
Despite the loss it was good fun.
My rugby season starts next Saturday. Let's see how my 40 year body holds out to Leigh away. My money's on me not surviving.
Godstone Farm
I was supposed to take Flo fro a swim on Sunday to meet up with Steve and his kids but his son had an eye infection so thought better of it. Instead we went to Godstone Farm. Flo loves animals and although she didn't get to feed them by hand (her favourite thing) she did see lots of new ones.
Her (my) favourite was this Tribble. We named it Donald.
Newest desktop arrangement
Yes, FM is up and running. But only so I could test the dual monitors.
P.S. Ignore the burst panels in the double glazing, it's on of the many things we need to do to the house.

The mother load
I was one of the first in this morning and have found the mother load.
Usually the chocolate biscuits are the first to go.

Was once a nice view...
I still need to work on the setup, but I managed to get both monitors working last night.
Q: Who needs the view anyway?
A: April.
I may need to put a new desk in the front top room and move all of my bits there.

They've arrived
My replacement laptop and 2 monitors have arrived. I didn't have a chance to play with them much last night as I was out watching the football. April's not overly impressed as the monitors take up half of the desk space. When I eventually get a gaming PC they it will make more sense.

Nearly died
I used what I thought was exfoliating soap this morning and ended up scratching both of my legs. It turns out that it was in fact hair conditioner (???). April has stopped using plastic bottled hair products and is now using soap. It would have been nice to have been told.
Laptop is on it's way
My laptop is due to get delivered next week. I'm thinking (hoping) early, as it only took a couple of days for them to receive it from me.

She loves a piano
I had to take yesterday off from work as Flo is still recovering from her chicken pox. She's been great really although we've not had the best levels of sleep since she contracted it. Here's a photo of Flo dicking around on Jenny's Casanova.
April once ran into the room thinking I was a secret classical pianist. I'd just pushed a few buttons and started a demo.

What on earth am I going to do? Its getting shipped off to Germany. They should be sending a replacement within 5-8 days.

Well, looks like i'm getting a replacement surface pro
Finally after over a week i've been able to verify that my computer is playing up. I now have to send it back and I should get a new one (refurbished) within 8 days. Not bad really. the big problem with this is that i'm due to work from home again soon so really need it returned to me before then. We shall see. I actually managed to get my old laptop working so I should be fine...
The big four zero
Well I made it. The big 40. I had a wonderful day on Saturday celebrating my 40th birthday. It started off being a little tricky as poor Flo managed to contract chicken pox the day before. Luckily we managed to get my dad down to do a spot of baby sitting in the afternoon.
I booked a minibus to take us down to the restaurant and it was great. We did the Full Acre. It wasn't cheap but glad everyone had a good time too.
Anyway, here are some photos.

Wow! What a present, it's the only thing i've asked April for over the past 5 years and now I have it. It's pretty cool. Now to get a display case for it. It weighs a ton!
A reoccurring joke from April, she got a local guy to cross out the engraving of 30 in my 'No Longer Mid to late 30's mug.
The fun bus to Kilndown (The Small Holding)
We arrived a little early so had a pre-meal drink outside in the garden.
My very own beer pouring machine
Some swimming goggles
Breath in ...
Breath out
Never stop those 12 hour drinking days. Urgh.
