Back to work

 It should be quiet over the next couple of days which is nice.  My boss and other team member is off till after the new year but i'm still in as i'm due to be off for over 3 weeks when we head to Australia next year.

If I don't work I don't get paid.

I've finished the main part of what I need to do this week this morning.  If the computers had the correct resources (RAM) it would have taken 30mins to 1h.  It took me about 4 hours. It's what it is but is very frustrating.

We did a massive turkey last week so we decided to try something different for Christmas this year. Lovely. Ham and cheese for tea

We took a walk around Haysden Lake today. Took a while with Arthur walking but it was nice to get some fresh air.

Bubbler issues

 We've had a few major issues with the Jukebox since it arrived back in September (ordered November 21). It was damaged on arrival which has now been fixed, but we've also had 3 or 4 software issues too. 

There's an IT guy remotely looking at it now but we're very close to having to send it back.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. And £9k is a lot of money sitting there blowing bubbles.

I'm off

 But only for 4 and a half days, then 2 and a half days off before another two and a half days of work.  I had to work a little this morning but that's all sorted now.  Mostly looking into how something was done last year more than actual work next week so will look forward to that.

Christmas is nearly here

 I finish at 12 today so trying to keep low and not get given any additional work.  I finish at 12 next Friday too.  It's a shame as i'll now miss out on a days pay, and I wouldn't have done much anyway!

 Well that was fun.  With the Christmas holidays coming up and people away we paused Warhammer to play a one shot.  This was my character. The Angry Ape.  Excellent fun!

What a game

 I watched yesterday's world cup final with a couple of friends.  I had to watch the first half at home as April was out with Flo to a play in Tunbridge Wells.  I had to stay at home with child number 2.  In the second half we went to my local.  Much better atmosphere.

First 80 mins was fairly dull as it was so one sided but the rest of the game was superb.

No more snow

 Yesterday's rain put an end to that.

We got a decent dump of snow last Sunday and it's stayed with us all week. At one point it was -9C. It's due to rain today plus warm up a bit so will be nice and must soon. Here are some photos.

Plenty of left over turkey from Friday night so I made a curry with some of the leftovers. We (April) put too much chilli in for the kids so they mostly ate yoghurt and rice.

Disco glow party

 Most weekends we're invited to one birthday or another.  Flo's latest was in a big tent at the bottom of her friend's garden.  It was a disco themed party and was a lot of fun.

Games club

 I went roleplaying again last night.  We're playing warhammer at the moment and the girl that sits next to be got a little too corrupt and her face inverted.  She may have to make a new character.  It's a good laugh.  Here's some of the games on show when it's not an RPG night.  I've probably played about 10% of them.

The usual plan after that is to pop into the pub on the way home and have a few with my new buddy.  he works there and we've managed to get ourselves a couple of lockins!  Nice!
