Bought a crinkle cutter the other day and made some chips. Yum!

Play date
One of Flo's school friends and his family came over for a play date on Sunday, and it was good fun, nobody died.

Dropped
Flo had a school concert last week. She was all excited as she was down to play the piano. She didn't. There must have been a last minute change of plan. She was excited to do it and quite disappointed not to perform. We arranged a performance round ours instead this Sunday.

Part of the gestapo
One of the other kids took Flo's school coat home last night by mistake so I lent her mine for the walk home.

2 weeks to go
Two weeks to go before we fly off to Australia. It's going to be a nice break. After the snow here today it will be nice to get some warmth. One good thing about the trip will be getting back and it being in the middle of spring so hopefully a little warmer. The shorts might not have to go back in the cupboard.
Arthur loves his rugby (Finally)
We took him first when he just turned 2, the same with Flo. He just didn't get it so we basically had to carry him for the whole session. 9 months later we started again and he loves it. Good boy!
Arwen loves the snow!
We got a good dump of snow late last night. The town's a horrible slushy mess but the fields around are great. It's been
a mix of rain and sleet all day so doubt there'll be much left tomorrow.

New car
We've decided to go full electric and go for an Audi Q4, a bit bigger than we originally planned but there's no full electric version of the A3 (our last 2 cars). April has a scheme at work that makes it very tax efficient. I've never had a new car before so is very exciting. Only problem is that it's got around a year lead time! There's a new unit of measure called a jukebox. It's roughly 1.2 jukeboxes away. Hopefully...
New job lined up
It's a bit early to be looking but a new role was passed onto me a couple of weeks ago and they've offered it to me and i've accepted. Not properly contracting any more, it's a fixed term contract as maternity cover. Money's good, plus it comes with all the usual benefits that apply to permanent roles in the city, health, pension, bonus etc. I should get the contract through later today.
Nice to have something lined up for when I get back from Australia.
