Recycle

 Last weekend we were trying to reuse the oil we used for the salt and chilli prawns.  I decided to make hash browns.

Here was my first attempt!

Turned out pretty good in the end

The oil was still hot so decided to deep fry some pickled onions to see what they turned out like...  Not bad, we'd had pickled onion rings as a snack in Hastings in the summer, minus the batter they were great.

A star is born

 Flo goes to a dram class every Saturday with her friend from school.  This term she's been learning songs from Mary Poppins.  She was excellent.  Well done Flo!  I wish I had a fraction of her confidence.

Tonbridge Christmas lights

Tonbridge Christmas lights were turned on last Sunday followed by fireworks.  Our friends came round earlier for a spot of tea.

 I had to get into London fairly early (for me, 9am) yesterday so took the dog out early.  Tonbridge Christmas lights are up and they're looking good.

 It was pretty frosty this morning, but by the time I was heading  back it was back to just plain muddy.

Tuesday's session

Tonbridge has a Christmas light festival at the castle this year and they're practicing this evening.

We went back to Dean Park for todays walk.  Look at these lovely mushrooms!

Wrist guard

After breaking my finger I've been having a bit of wrist painb which I think it's probably related. I've bought this to see if it helps. I've still got a little pain in the finger still so need to keep an eye on that too.

This weekends cooking

April did the most of cooking this weekend for a change, but I cooked Salt and Pepper prawns.  They came out great!  Nice and crispy, but unfortunately they were far too salty.  I'll cut it back for the next batch!

 

Rearranged fireworks

 We had one of Flo's friends parents round yesterday afternoon for a rearranged fireworks night in the main park in Tonbridge.  They were great!

 A bit foggy to begin with but turned out lovely in the end.

Quiet at work last week

It was fairly quiet last week at work so took the dog for a long walk in the morning to Dean Park.  It's about a five minute drive after dropping the kids off at school.  It does get muddy in the wet but it was mostly unscaved.  The dog loved it.

April booked us into Boys Hall for our wedding anniversary.  12 years!
